Ft Lauderdale, FL, February 13, 2018 – Anglers Avenue Marine Center (AAMC) announces the installation of their new Hurricane Boat Storage Anchor Systems at its facility at 4470 Anglers Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Due to its location just West of I-95 and the installation of 200 anchor systems that enable us to strap boats down, AAMC is a designated HURRICANE BOAT STORAGE SOLUTION .

We are now able to provide proper Hurricane BOAT STORAGE for up to 200 boats ranging in sizes from 26’ to 70’ says Dave Hoffman, Site Manager at AAMC. The AAMC Hurricane Storage plan is a win/win for boat owners who want to protect their boat during hurricane season and at the same time save money on their insurance by meeting their insurance company Storm Plan requirements. Boat owners are able to save up to 30% on their boat insurance if they purchase BOAT STORAGE at AAMC during HURRICANE SEASON.

A study by MIT after Hurricane Gloria found that BOATS STORED ashore were far more likely to be saved than BOATS STORED in the water or on boat lifts or davits. In fact, the worst place you can STORE YOUR BOAT during a Tropical Storm or Hurricane is on davits or a boat lift. What’s more, BOATS STORED ashore and anchored to the surface at least 48 hours prior to projected land fall faired best.

“We did our homework and found the best solution to Hurricane BOAT STORAGE was to add additional jack stands and secure the vessel to the ground both fore and aft, says Hoffman, to accomplish this we installed anchor systems in the concrete surface of the marina. Each anchor point exceeds 15,000 pounds of upward pull pressure. There are 8 anchor points for each BOAT STORED. Furthermore, boats are stored on Jack stands to 10’ above mean sea level to mitigate the effects of storm surge. Our location inland substantially mitigates the effects of storm surge.
The keys to protecting your boat from any severe weather is planning, preparation and timely action. Boat owners who are serious about protecting their boat from Windstorm during Hurricane season (June through November), and saving money of their BOAT INSURANCE premiums should consider joining the Hurricane Club at Anglers Avenue Marine Center. What’s better, AAMC BOAT STORAGE RATES are the most competitive in South Florida.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center is your premier boat storage facility in Dania Beach, Florida.  We offer wet slips, dry storage, lift slips and Hurricane storage. The wet slips are less than a year new and are made out of composite docks and fiberglass pilings. The lift slips are 14,000 and 26,000 lb. lifts. The lifts are the alternative to dry stack storage. The pros to lift slips is that you are  able to drop your boat at any time ( 24 hour access) with your own remote and parking right behind your vessel for easy load on and off. Dry storage is in a secured fenced in area. This is a great convenient area for trailered boats.  AAMC’s hurricane storage is a  insurance approved hurricane hole. In case of a storm the boat is hauled out on strapped down to our chains imbedded in the concrete. Please inquire within about our ” Hurricane Hole”.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center is moving along with improvements to the marina. The recently erected 6 bay warehouse taht is close to being completed and ready to rent. Along with the marina itself the new warehouse will generate its own solar power.  We have our site plan approved and looking forward to building our new office building.  The new office building and bigger ships store will be a much anticipated improvement to the marina.

If you any questions please do not hesitate to e-mail, call, or just stop on by to see the marina.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center is dedicated to customer service. I believe honestly this has been a lost art in the marine industry. With the down swing in the economy, a little extra service and added attention to the customer can go a long way. Our biggest marketer in this economy is our customers themselves. It’s a trickle effect. If just one our customers tells a friend about his experience at Anglers Avenue Marine Center this we lead to at least 10 different boat owners knowing about our marina at what we have to offer. Creating a relationship with your customer and giving him that extra service is priceless.

Here at Anglers Avenue Marine Center we strive to meet all of our customers needs. We will take that extra step to make the whole experience at our marina an enjoyable one.

AAMC is a full service marina along with a “Do it Yourself “. We offer wet slips, lift slips, dry storage for rent. The marina is an insurance approved “hurricane hole”. We have a hurricane club to reserve a space in case of a named storm coming our way.

The hurricane season is here !!!  At this time we are feeling the effects of a Tropical Depression south of Cuba.

Here at  Anglers Avenue Marine Center we encourage preparation for the 2012 hurricane season. Forecasters have predicted a mild hurricane season but it only takes one storm to make it a memorable and costly season.

Anglers Avenue is a insurance approved hurricane hole to store your boat. All boats at the marina are taken out of the water and strapped down to the hard deck by 6 points.  AAMC has chains sunk into the concrete for a proper tie down.

AAMC offers a Hurricane Club. With a storage contract  you can reserve a space at the marina in the event of a hurricane. Insurance companies encourage this or even require a hurricane plan.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center offers wet slips, lift slips, and dry storage for lease.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center is a “one stop shop” to getting your boat back on the water.  The marina has the staff and experience to lead you in the right direction in getting your boat fixed or refit.  We have run into owners having captains or “middle men” handling their projects.  The marina has run into problems with this.  For example, the deposit for the job is handed to the “middle men”. In the end the job is not completed nor done in a timely fashion. This costs the owner money and time.  On the back end AAMC has to finish the job and finesse the boat owner back to being a satisfied customer. Bottom line, the owner needs to cut out the middle man and deal directly with the marina.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center is a full service yard as well as a “do it yourself ” yard. We have wet slips, lift slips, and dry storage for boats.

We are a insurance approved Hurricane Hole for storage.

Hurricane season is only a few weeks away.  It is time to get your plan for vessel in place. AAMC is a insurance approved Hurricane hole. All boats at our marina are taken out of the water and strapped down to the hard deck in case of a threatening storm. Most insurance companies do ask the boat owner to have a hurricane plan in place prior to a storm.

Get your boat bottom painted at Anglers Avenue Marine Center. With summer heat looming around the corner the water is warming up in South Florida. Warmer water means more bottom growth. If your boat is kept in the water, then it is essential to have a good coat of bottom paint on your vessel. Bottom paint curbs the growth of oysters and barnacles that thrive in warm water. Anglers Avenue Marine Center is running summer specials on bottom paint. If you get your bottom painted at AAMC we will give a free month of dockage this way you can explore the water ways of the Venice of America and navigate the “Loop”. The marina is a “ Do it Yourself “ as well as a full service facility. We offer wet slips, lift slips, and dry storage. Anglers Avenue Marine Center moves forward with “Clean Marina ” status.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center is very close to becoming a clean marina. We have taken major steps to accomplish this. AAMC’S docks and shipyard is all powered by solar. We have the ability not to charge electric to any of our wet slip renters. The pilings are made out of fiberglass constructed by Pearson Pilings. The pilings do not rot and will last a life time. They are considered very eco-friendly. The docks are made out of composite wood and are fully recycleable. The pressure wash station where boats are hauled out is equipped with Maze System. All the water goes into a designated drain and recycled. No containments (paint chips) go into the water.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center is constructing a new warehouse with 5 bays for sub-contractors to rent. This building will also be 100% solar powered.

Anglers Avenue Marine Center offers wet slip dockage, lift slips and dry storage. AAMC is a “do it yourself yard” as well as a full service marina.
